A Dairy man’s lament
While mucking out the stalls one day,
On my way to feed my cows some hay.
I was taken by surprise by the sound of bovine sighs
Yet, I tried to ignore her baleful cries
Then I heard an insistent mooing from the next stanchion.
I was still busy, and bellowed back, “Keep your pants on.”
Still the sounds continued, she moaned, “I’m udderly spent.
I do not feel whole, maybe just two percent.”
She was in such a state, I went out on a limb,
“Don’t worry Bossy, just slip me some skim.”
